Now that you have taken part in Genius Hour for a marking period, how can you relate to the article? Do you agree/disagree with the info in the article? Do you have anything new to add to the discussion?
The article is understandable in a number of ways, mostly in the way the teachers went about the project. It is a time each week dedicated to researching and creating our own ideas in order to make a difference. I somewhat agree with the info in the article, except in our class the ideas are a bit different because the people interviewed in the story were much younger. The only thing I would have to add is that I believe the Genius Hour/20 time idea is a great way to get students to interact and make an impact. I learned in this article that this project can really vary- from all ages and ideas. This project can make a difference in a multitude of ways and is fun at the same time.
